1. Custom services and statements of work
Custom software development, SaaS engineering, and consulting services are provided based on agreed scopes of work. Fees for completed milestones and work performed prior to a cancellation request are non-refundable, as such work cannot be returned.
If a project is cancelled by the client before a milestone is completed, the client will be billed for actual work performed up to the date of cancellation. Any remaining unearned portion of pre-paid fees will be refunded within thirty (30) days.
2. Retainers and subscriptions
Monthly retainers and subscription-based engagements may be cancelled by giving at least thirty (30) days written notice. Fees paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, but no further charges will apply after the notice period ends.
3. Deposits
Initial deposits required to reserve engineering capacity are non-refundable once accepted, except where required by law, because they secure resources that cannot be re-allocated on short notice.
4. Defective deliverables
If a deliverable does not meet the acceptance criteria defined in the applicable statement of work, we will, at our discretion, remediate the deliverable at no additional cost. If we are unable to do so within a reasonable period, we will refund the fee specifically attributable to that deliverable.
5. How to request a refund
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@capoejoy.com and must include your project reference, the invoice in question, and the reason for the request. We will respond within ten (10) business days.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve a dispute with us may result in suspension of services and recovery of associated costs.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time fees were paid will govern those fees.
